Sandwiches and aquavit go together like horse and cart. Every Saturday at 1pm Copenhagen Distillery and Butcheria serve lunch, where the handmade sandwiches are paired with their own specially selected aquavit. Along the way, your host will talk about cultural history, crafts, traditions and the science behind a good pairing of food and spirits.
For many years Aquavit was reduced to playing second fiddle in the Danish lunch. It had its place, but preferably icy so you wouldn't have to think too much about it. At Copenhagen Distillery, however, we love good taste, and a lunch with us is therefore a journey through the different typical aquavit styles and completely new modern interpretations. The aquavit is temperate and served with care and respect.
Butcheria is synonymous with craftsmanship, quality and good taste. From the ripe pickled herring, to the handmade beef sausage and the homemade dressings, every detail is thought out.
